A Stylish Morning at Café Crème

Café Crème sits right on Boulevard Jean Hibert in Cannes, on the ground floor of the Canopy by Hilton hotel. It’s just steps from the Old Port and the sea, so the walk there already feels like a postcard — palm trees, yachts, and a warm, salty breeze. We went in June, and while the day was hot, the wind made it all feel fresh and light.

Stepping inside, the first thing that hits you is how bright and inviting it feels. Sunlight pours through the big windows, bouncing off the clean lines and warm wood finishes. The atmosphere is relaxed but polished — stylish enough to feel special, casual enough to keep things easy.

The interior is playful and eye-catching. Rows of yellow and white ceramic jars line the walls and even the mirrored ceiling, giving the space a bold rhythm and a touch of fun. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to take a photo before you even sit down. Soft lighting and smooth wood textures balance the look, giving the café a comfortable, modern feel. You can choose to sit inside or on the terrace facing the marina — both are great options depending on your mood and the weather.

The vibe is lively without being loud. There's background music, the clink of cups, and the soft chatter of people enjoying coffee or working on laptops. It's the kind of energy that makes time pass easily.

Café Crème calls itself a "Brunch Club", and that's exactly what it feels like — easy-going, stylish, and all-day friendly. The menu runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is full of West Coast-style brunch dishes. Think fresh, colourful plates that mix indulgence with healthy touches. There's everything from avocado toast and eggs Benedict to bagels, crab rolls, and banana bread. You can tell the menu has been crafted with care — generous, unfussy, and focused on flavour.

We started with coffee and fresh orange juice. The latte and cappuccino were both smooth and well-made, with a nice balance of strength and creaminess.

For food, we went for the omelette — a hearty mix of eggs, ham, mushrooms, emmental cheese, and chives served with a small mixed leaf salad. Simple, satisfying, and nicely done.

The real star was the crab roll sandwich. Served on soft brioche with a generous crab salad, baby gem lettuce, and tomato, it came with a side of golden fries that disappeared fast. We actually ordered another one because it was that good — buttery, light, and packed with fresh flavour.

To finish, we tried the Lavender Love Parfait — Greek yoghurt, berries, muesli, and lavender honey. It was a lovely mix of crunchy, creamy, and floral. Sweet but not heavy — a great way to end brunch.

Service was friendly and relaxed, matching the café's easy-going mood. You won't be rushed here. The team is polite and helpful, and even when the place gets busy, things move smoothly enough.

Prices lean toward the higher side, but given the location and setting, it's not unreasonable. You're paying for the view, the vibe, and the quality. It's not the place for a quick budget breakfast, but for a stylish seaside brunch, it delivers.

We left full and happy, already talking about coming back. Café Crème nails that sweet spot between laid-back and polished. It's perfect for brunch with friends, a lazy coffee stop, or a seaside treat while in Cannes.
