Bright Aussie Brunch Near Victoria
We’re always looking for cafés that balance style, sustainability, and proper brunch plates. Timmy Green in Victoria checked all the boxes. Just a ten-minute walk from the station, it’s easy to reach and perfect for a casual weekend stop or weekday lunch. We had crisp weather and a smooth stroll through London’s lively city centre.
Timmy Green sits on the corner of Sir Simon Milton Square in the Nova building. The sleek glass exterior opens to a relaxed outdoor terrace with café tables and loungers. Inside, the space is bright and modern. Huge windows flood the room with natural light, softened by leafy plants and warm textures. It feels open but still cosy.
We were seated at a ground floor table for two, facing the window—great for people-watching and soaking up the buzz. The staff were lovely from the start. Quick service, friendly faces, and no fuss.
The design leans into that Aussie café feel. Double-height ceilings, exposed bulbs, and hanging greenery bring a greenhouse-like calm. It's stylish without trying too hard. A solid pick for slow mornings, lunch with friends, or post-work drinks.
The brunch menu offers a mix of indulgent and fresh. Plenty of vegetarian options, gluten-free choices, and smart add-ons like halloumi, poached eggs, or chorizo.
We ordered three standout dishes. First up was The Bondi—a strong plate with back bacon, poached eggs, spicy sausage, mushrooms, avocado, and a hit of house chilli pesto on sourdough. It was bold and satisfying without feeling too heavy.
Next, the Shakshouka arrived bubbling. A rich mix of spiced tomato and peppers, baked eggs, house labne, and more of that excellent sourdough on the side. Comforting, warm, and packed with flavour.
For something sweet, we went with the bBanana Bread Sandwich. This one’s earned its fan base—whipped mascarpone, berries, almonds, and honey layered between thick, toasted banana bread. It was just sweet enough and made a perfect finish.
Drinks were just as good. A smooth Oat Latte and Oat Cappuccino—both creamy and well-poured. We also had a glass of fresh Orange Juice, which was bright and refreshing.
The restaurant was busy, but it didn't feel crowded. The noise level was lively, not loud. The whole space has an easy-going energy that makes you want to linger.
Prices were fair for the area. The quality, presentation, and service all held up. No complaints here. We left full, happy, and planning to return.
Would we go back? Without question. Timmy Green hits that sweet spot of good food, relaxed atmosphere, and smart design. It's a great brunch option if you’re near Victoria—or even if you’re not. This place is worth the detour.
